This Privacy Policy explains what information Try Alfred (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have — whether you use Try Alfred through our web app or our browser extension. By using Try Alfred you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect the information you give us and a small amount of technical data needed to run the service:

• Account details — your name and email when you create an account.
• Your content — the notes, tasks, bookmarks, collections, and tags you create or save.
• Connected services — data from services you choose to connect, such as Google Calendar (see below) or GitHub activity.
• Usage data — basic logs and analytics that help us keep Try Alfred reliable and improve it.

Google Calendar data

If you connect Google Calendar, Try Alfred requests limited access to your Google Account so it can:

• Readyour calendar list and event details (time, title, attendees, description) to show upcoming meetings on your dashboard and let Try Alfred’s AI assistant reference real meeting context when helping you plan tasks and notes.
• Create, update, delete, and respond tocalendar events on your behalf when you ask Try Alfred to schedule, reschedule, or cancel a meeting. Changes the AI assistant initiates always require your explicit approval before they’re made.
• Read your Google account name, email, and profile photo so you can confirm which account is connected in your integration settings.

We only access this data while Google Calendar is connected, and only to power the features above. When Try Alfred’s AI assistant uses your calendar data to answer a question or plan a task, that data is sent to our AI model provider solely to generate that response — it is never used to train the AI provider’s models, never used for advertising, never sold, and never transferred to any other party for any other purpose. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Try Alfred’s integration settings, or revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions. Try Alfred’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

We use your information to provide and maintain Try Alfred, to power features like Ask Alfred, to communicate with you about the product, and to keep the service secure. We do not use the content you save to train models for anyone else. Data obtained through Google APIs is used only as described in the “Google Calendar data” section above, and not for the product communications or general analytics described here.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate Try Alfred — such as hosting, email delivery, and the AI model provider that powers Ask Alfred’s responses — and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can export or delete your content at any time, and deleting your account removes your personal data from our systems, subject to limited legal or backup retention.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your workspace.

Your rights

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy
